Amway celebrates 40 years in the German market

Amway GmbH, a subsidiary of MLM, celebrated the celebrations to mark the 40th anniversary of the opening of the German subsidiary of the company and seat of the executive management of Amway Europe, Africa and India. These events were held successfully last month by a grand ceremony held at the headquarters of Amway in Puchheim, Munich.

Doug DeVos, president of Amway Corporation and president of the WFDSA (global nonprofit organization that groups the direct selling associations in the world, with the aim of representing the industry of direct selling) traveled to Germany to participate in the celebration, making a speech in which he invited recognized personalities from the world of politics, economy and different institutions, to reflect on the importance of the German market in the economy of Europe and the world. "German is a market that has played a strategic and fundamental role for both Amway and for the direct selling industry in general," DeVos affirm. "Germany continues to be a very important market for this industry and we continue identifying it as a key growth engine for the entire region," he added.


Also the Consul General of the United States William E. Moelle, He made a short speech at the ceremony, where Amway congratulated for the work done with great success in Europe during these four decades, especially in the promotion of entrepreneurship.

Norbert Seidl, mayor of Puchheim, wanted to highlight in particular the importance of the business of Network Marketing company in the region of Bavaria and in particular, the continued commitment of the German subsidiary through various social initiatives with neighboring districts.

To underscore this commitment, Amway presented a check with a financial donation of 10,000 euros for NFTE, NGOs working in the field of education allowing children of families in difficulty to obtain scholarships covering his studies in economics and business. Originally founded in the German city of Gräfelfing in 1975 with a workforce of only 6 employees, Amway Germany was the second subsidiary of the company in Europe, second only to the offices in the UK. Today Amway headquarters for Europe is in Puchheim, a region on the outskirts of Munich, and has a workforce of over 280 employees.
